Solomon was the son of David and Bathsheba. He came to the throne aided by his mother, Nathan the prophet, and Zadok the priest. Solomon prayed for wisdom and became famous for his wise sayings. He built the first Temple in Jerusalem using forced labor and materials obtained from Hiram of Tyre. Solomon solidified his power by marriage alliances with other kingdoms. These marriages eventually led to the establishment of pagan shrines in Jerusalem.

1 Kgs 3:1-15 - Prays for wisdom.
1 Kgs 8:1-6 - Dedicates the temple
1 Kgs 11:1-13 - Marriages and idolatry

Wow! I just had another thought! Just seeing things...the same way King David made him bow to King Solomon...so shall God make everyone bow to our Lord Jesus Christ!

And he has given him a double portion as it says in Isaiah! His judgments shall be final...thank God for M-e-r-c-y!

Do you all notice the "mercy" being shown here?

@oberstinky Then maybe you should try reading Psalm 22 written by King David about Jesus Christ on the cross.David was also a prophet . also deuteronomy 18-15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, LIKE UNTO ME; unto him ye shall hearken

@oberstinky I love it when athiest say if Christian would just be more tolerant.The vast majority of Christians are the most tolerant people in the world.It doesn't matter to me if people don't believe in God.I personally think it's funny it makes me laugh.If you study biblical archaelogy it confirms the Word of God.The books of E Raymond Capt are great.Check'em out if your interested.Take care stinky

@judahlove6009 Wrong go back and read Isaiah 7-14.Behold a VIRGIN shall conceive and bare a son and shall call his name IMMANUEL.Immanuel in hebrew means GOD WITH US.How you get that that verse is about Isiah is beyond me.As for Psalm 22 it is about Jesus being nailed to a cross 1000 years later.It even says how soldiers are gambling for his clothes.David was not only a King but a phophet to.And the correct sacred name is YHVH not YHWH
