Exhumation of 14 German soldiers in Villeneuve-Loubet: newsreport compilation

This compilation of news reports shows the exhumation of the bodies of 14 missing in action German soldiers from an unmarked mass grave in Villeneuve-Loubet near Nice, France. These soldiers of Reserve Division 148 (under Otto Fretter-Pico) were killed in combat against the First Special Service Force (also known as Devils Brigade, a famous unit composed of a mixture of American and Canadian soldiers) in August 1944; and were then buried in a mass grave by local civilians. The soldiers WERE NOT executed as a misinformed TV presentor claims at one point in the video.
After the exhumation, the 14 bodies were brought to the German military cemetery of Berneuil, in France. It was discovered that one of the dead men had been killed the day before his 18th birthday.
All the bodies were reburied in Berneuil on june 23rd 2007, in the presence of 60 german famillies, as well as many french and german officials.
Note the dog tag with the bullet hole visible in several scenes!
