The commentator that call Cliff Watson "the dark boy in the black dressing gown". Would have been sacked that very next morning if it were 2011.

@rizmid The track at 4:14 is 'Promises, Promises' and is taken from the London Cast production of the play of the same name, with all music by Burt Bacharach. This section is in the overture track. Just been re-released on CD. Great by the way! the Bacharach version at 2:07 I would presume is just an orchestra doing a cover version, which I don't know. Hope this helps...

Hey Matt ! Wow, re: neighbours with Hector..
I went to Crawfords once to get on their books as an extra, but moved up to Sydney before I did any gigs there..
Now I know there is a trade in this stuff I'll keep a look out.. saw some stuff on the dump as a kid, but I think a friend used it like bunting (eeek..)..

Small World.. Believe it or not in the early 1980s.. I was neighbours with Hector and Glenda Crawford and visited their House a couple of times.
Never saw any of this stuff though.
They used to live in a nice House on Mont Albert Road in the Melbourne suburb of Canterbury.
I am sure there are more of these gems resting in Studies.. Garages and Attics of former TV Execs and Producers across OZ.
I hope they can be dusted off and converted before they degrade.
Thanks for posting !!
"Off-air" means it was recorded from a broadcast signal by a domestic viodeo recorder.
It was a Shibaden "I" format reel-to-reel tape - when I came to get it transferred, there was no equipment which could transfer it cleanly, which is why the pulse is running throiugh it...
