Then where did the big bang come from?

You can always ask "well then what happened before that?" The god hypothesis explains absolutely nothing; it gets us no closer to an answer. It's just a continuation of the same infinitely regres...

@evanom2 A theory, even though not a fact, has far more substantial value than the Bible (which only has cultural value).

PS: it so happens I have the record for Bible scripture search in my city (1.5 seconds), achieved on my middle school years when enrolled in a Christian school. I have read this book at least 10 times. Even if this does not completely reflect my knowledge on this book, I can say with assurance it is filled with paradoxes, contradictions, and logical fallacies.

MrPablowjob, The Bible is a guide for man's returning to God through His SOn Jesus. It isn't focused on teaching biology, astronomy or science, it's focused on man. Yet, your not gonna find any theories in it, only truth.
Man, on the other hand, is rebellious and dwells on theories so to try and destroy GOd since he want's nothing to do with Him.
Paradoxes, contradictions, and logical fallacies described man, not God. What are some of these contradictions you say the Bible has?

@evanom2 The Bible says it was created by God through man right? and, as you say, it claims to be the absolute truth. If somebody says it was created entirely by man, then it goes against the Bible. It follows a self sustaining feedback, based on no present physical evidence. i.e if I tell you, "My hand is blue because I say it is blue, if anybody tells you otherwise it is a lie" yet you havent seen my hand.

@evanom2 This self sustaining feedback is what bounds the Bible believer into refuting any other explanations. And the group of people who wrote, gathered, and edited the Bible know this. It is a common technique used by many other religions and cults through out history.

YEs and no, there are things for which no evidence exists, example "God is eternal" (no physical evidence for this). However, there are other things regarding geography, biology, physics, astronomy, antropology that have proven accurate hundreds of years before man "discovered" them. An example, the Hittites were a people mentioned in the Bible over two thousand years ago, however, arquelogy had failed to produce any evidence they existed. So man decided it was a falacy of the Bible. . ,

. . .and yet in the 19th century arquelogy discovered the ruins of these ancient people. And it was officially recognised that this civilisation indeed existed even though the Bible had always made mention of it. Now there are dozens upon dozens of these examples. ANd biblical prophesies are incredibly accurate. No other "holy book" has ever been able to do these type of things. Everything that has been proven by man has always been accurate with the Bible, yet theories contradict it.

@evanom2 Yes, there is a small amount of events in the Bible that are proven to be correct by science, a global flood is one. The Bible will obviously reflect the cultural and political events of its time, even if the accuracy of events is not as good. The "prophecies" that you mention on the other hand were added through a span of 500 years, after such events had ALREADY happened.

@evanom2 Yet, lets assume some of this prophecies are correct. What about the rest of the Bible's obviously erroneous claims? The story of Adam and Eve, putting 2-100 million species of animals on a boat. What about the paradoxes (not only contradictions) that the sole definition of God implies? (I am assuming you know what paradoxes are).
