  • WOW, I had a Super 60 in 1974.

    Gem 4 radio and an OS40fp.

    The wings and tailplane were elastic banded on.

    I modified the construction a little and built it with trike UC.

  • I still have one in the loft with a 28 glow motor in it.

    Must reach it out

  • Which one is better? the 3channel verison or the 4 channel? i would like some day build one with electric power

  • Beautiful, nostalgic video. I haven't seen a Super 60 fly since 1976!

  • They used to fly on 2.5cc diesels - even with relatively heavy 1980's propo gear, mine flew beautifully on the first generation OS 20FS - although some people insisted on stuffing Merco 61's into 'em!

    Invader - Aaaahhh...;_}

  • Ah, the old KeilCraft Super 60, I haven't seen one of those since the 1960s when I first got into the hobby.

    The one in the video is definitely overpowered by 1960s standards, a good .29 was more than enough back then and those .29s were nowhere near as powerful as a modern .40.

    I've always thought I'd love to build a Super 60, Black Magic, Invader, Tyro or other '60s plane again. Who knows, maybe one day.
