They used to fly on 2.5cc diesels - even with relatively heavy 1980's propo gear, mine flew beautifully on the first generation OS 20FS - although some people insisted on stuffing Merco 61's into 'em!
Ah, the old KeilCraft Super 60, I haven't seen one of those since the 1960s when I first got into the hobby.
The one in the video is definitely overpowered by 1960s standards, a good .29 was more than enough back then and those .29s were nowhere near as powerful as a modern .40.
I've always thought I'd love to build a Super 60, Black Magic, Invader, Tyro or other '60s plane again. Who knows, maybe one day.
WOW, I had a Super 60 in 1974.
Gem 4 radio and an OS40fp.
The wings and tailplane were elastic banded on.
I modified the construction a little and built it with trike UC.
