@ElGatoVolador2010 I'm 100% agree with you. It was and is my biggest disappointment. The way some unis or to be specific study centres treat their students is really humiliating. Given that we come here and pay 5-6 times higher than local students and receive no concessions or chance to work enough to cover our bills we still are being treated just like money bags. Lectures are given by one people, assessment is done by another one and many other things (remaining characters are running out)

@marmztube - i guess i'll agree with you on that. I know racism is almost the same here in india with the foreign students and north indian students. But lets just say that an act of stupidty and can be ignored. I don't care what people do when i come to australia, its an awesome country and i know it!...i'm indian and half of my relatives live there, my cousins study there....its not that bad at all...:)...i wish all this just gets over...peace..

Australia is not a good place to study, been here for 1 year:
- international student fees are very high & lectures are bad
- no transport and other concessions to international students
- it is a INDUSTRY, aimed solely at generating profit while providing poor value
- you can work 20h/week, but many international students get payed less than minimum wage
- overcrowded university facilities
- no opportunities to work here after your degree
Don't bother, there are better places to study!

I don't normally get caught up in this shit but honestly, whoever is agreeing with this is being closed minded. And using a comedian(who's job it is to over exaggerate) as a source of proof to back up your own battle against Australia, seriously?! I had a shy quiet Indian Med student live with us for 6 months and he had the time of his life, plus I work with students from all around the world and they love the respect they're shown by "most" of the locals. I strongly suggest you delete this!!!!!

@boskonovitchgal Australian here - I've lived all around the world, and I can assure you that racism here is the same as any country. There is a small, small, percentage of close minded people, but the average everyday Australian is welcoming and understanding.

I remember those attacks on Indian students, most of them were Indians attacking other Indians or Lebanese attacking Indians.
But the racist Indians blamed WHITE Australians.

@TheyAreAllInsane I am Australian. We have a huge foreign population, I love seeing other races every day I think it makes us really open minded. But I know a lot of people are also extremely close-minded and keep a traditional old view. I know of exchange students who get treated really good at first at home around here, and after a while they get treated like trash. That's where I intervene.. but.. there are lots of idiots anywhere you go. PEOPLE HAVE TO LEARN TO START SEEING JUST PEOPLE :)
