@FrankSpijker I liked Myst IV & Uru as well. Just wish I would have bought it on PC instead of Xbox. Xbox is terrible. It has to spin the disc up before it tries to load each scene.

@Megaritz You're your own worst critique :(

Myst 5 predicted the iPad or tablets in general :)
I finished playing Myst 1 and it was awesome, exactly like a mysterious island and the story was epic, Riven-OMG! it's the masterpiece of the series it's like Star Wars, Ghen was the Darth Vader :), Exile- it felt empty story-wise but the ages and designs were nice, I'm playing Revelation now and I like it that they used actors in it, but I'm not sure I'll be able to play End of Ages, I know I'm not supposed to, because it's crap and all but...

It makes my heart bleed to hear Rand Miller and the others speak so enthusiastically about Myst V and comparing it to their previous masterpieces. They were geniuses, and yet somehow they seemed completely unaware that Myst V was a piece of crap.

Warning!
Do not play the Myst games further than the 3rd part. Otherwise a emotional breakdown will occur.

And the fact that Myst 4 and 5 had very rough development cycles.
2 yrs myst
4 yrs riven
2-3 yrs Exile
2 yrs Rev (and half way thru it switched studios and was scrapped entirely and restarted)
1 yr EoA
So Revelation was amazing considering how much time they had to put it together.
EoA was made of content from Uru in just 1 year to help Cyan recoup costs from Uru failing. In honesty it should not be called a MYST game. Just End of Ages. Drop the Myst.
And the story was very lacking.
