  • Ofcourse her religion dont matter. she was wonderful singer that does matter.

but plz she converted 46 or 48 very convient timing if u get my point. i hope ur not implying that her proving how "muslim" she was

and how not "jewish" she was proves what a true patriot she was.

i mean how pathetic i thought the days of the religous inquisition ended.

it obviously didnt with some ppl.

It sad she had to give up religion just so she woudlnt been seen as traitor.

peace 2 laila 4 eva xxxx

  • TRY TO FIX THE VIDEO,THE PICTURE IS NOT GOOD,SHE WAS GIFTED WITH LOVELY VOICE GOD BLESS HER SOUL,SHE WAS A TRUE ARTIST

  • BS. Laila Murad was a better singer than Khalsoum and more beautiful and charming.

    Anyway they were different.

Laila sang more modern songs. Khalsoum more classical. Somewhat boring.

  • her sister semeha was married to my uncle and i knew her son as a boy

  • Nasser spoilt it for everyone.

  • Not at all. According to my 95 year old aunt they were completely different.

    Kulthum was more classical.

Murad was more modern. My aunt did not like Kulthums songs as she preferred more modern tunes.

THey were both great in a different way.

  • am yisrael chai

  • lol why do you keep copying and pasting the same message?

  • Umm Kulthum was a far better singer than Leila Mourad, I can't believe Leila was picked over Umm to be the official singer of the Egyptian Revolution.

  • Laila Mourad was one of the best singers Egypt ever had. Even after all these years, her voice, acting and performance remain so cheerful and entertaining. We miss her so much and miss those good old days when Egypt used to be the Hollywood of the Middle East. I will not even dignify the religion issue with a comment.
