@first10123 to be honest, when i think of brits i dont think of the accent that sounds like they have a stick up their ass, i think of cockney accents such as charles bronson. and i think about trashy soccer club street fighters.

@edwdixon5 well said lol wher are u from?
-
@first10123 Well, lots of people are guilty of comforting caricatures, especially when it comes to Americans. It's just one big Jerry Springer audience to the insecure and the dumb, when in fact they work longer hours than the Japanese and have more Nobel Prizes and first-class universtities than, well, any other country by far. Oh, and the Australians have a higher rate of obesity, but where's the fun in hating on them?
-
@edwdixon5 fair comment i agree my problem is with americans perception of the uk as this place where everyone talks like they have a stick up their ass and is also relsted to the queen in some way and i feel that americans more than any other country buy into that stereo type and it annoys me as im sure u might get annoyed if everyone u spoke to assumed americans are fat stupid and tasteless.....but i see your point
-
@first10123 Oh, please. There are probably a hundred regional American accents and every Brit will do some broad parody of a southern hick or a valley girl. So what? Should I make ridiculous inferences about their ignorance from that? Grow up and grow a sense of humor.

@edwdixon5 i understand it was a joke its stand up duhh!! my problem is yanks always do the same accent posh ass accent when talking about english ppl and it pisses me off nobody in the uk talks like that unkess ur from some rich family which most of us are not i feel americans need to eductae themselves on the world a little bit more
-
@first10123 I think he was joking. I like Mony Python, but don't imagine they're perpetuating the myth of rampant fish fights or rampaging grannies.
-

i have never heard a policeman speak with such a posh accent i swear americans think evryone is related to the queen they piss me right off!!!

most of southern england (save for the posh people) dont pronounce t's but its only when the t isnt at the start of the word - so we would pronounce the t in toyota. but not in water
