  • This is some ridiculous version of Pithle. I'm sure they threw it in the trash can right after the video :)

  • @paragpandit : Why so much hate and have you actually tried it ?

    Happy Diwali to you :)

  • This is nice. The same one for another preparation is; do uptil the frying of onion and roasted cumin seeds and dhania seens powder, now add half boiled beans finely cut and fry it with salt ..it will do wonders but only thing you have to add two or three dry red chillies and finally add fresh coconut sprayed on top. yammmma

  • @pulamasu

  • Sorry cooks, but this is not an authentic recipe for Pithla.Pithla does not incorporate garlic or tomatoes. Also jeera and mustard are not used together.Authentic pithla is Mustard seeds, green chillies, onions and gram flour.

  • you know what, don't even worry about them; they are just jealous that you are talented cooks who is nice enough to share your recipes with us.

and that's all the authenticity you really need; we live in america and all races and ethnicities are accepted, and even blended(like me).

saying that something is "wrong" because it incorporates different ideas is just stupid; stop having hissy fits over nothing just appreciate its uniqueness =_= !!

  • @paragpandit Pithle tastes great! There's no doubt. I made it and it was great. My comment was about this receipe shown here with everything and anything just thrown together and brought to a boil. Anyways, I shouldn't have commented. I should've just ignored it. Happy Diwali to you!!!

  • Even if they keep trying for the rest of their lives, these 2 gals cannot be great cooks. Moving on to find a better receipe...

  • good one as i m student in london this receipe help a lot

  • nice variations bt pithal made in maharashtra contains very less ingrediants..

  • @estarat

I agree with you that this is not the authentic recipe. I am a Maharashtrian. I have seen quite a few variations with or without garlic, but never have I seen pithala made with corriander powder and tomatoes. Lets hope pithala is made this way in some part of Maharashtra if not most.

  • this is rich pithla....although can be made with very few ingredients
