This tune of mine is recorded on our Craft of Kin Cd and was the subject of a Mel Bay Dulcimer Sessions article (www.dulcimersessions.com) called Patterned Chord Arpeggios. It can be found in Back Issues for Aug. 2004. I have taught this in several workshops and thought this visual might be helpful in addition to the article.

  • What kind of dulcimer is that?

  • @GroundedSaugage I design and build dulcimers as well. That is my Starsong model. I've been building this design for about 12 years, and before that a slow evolution of experiments. When I got this sound and look, I stopped experimenting. Thanks for your interest.

  • Thank you. I have been enjoying your videos as well. I have thought of making a Wiessenborn myself.

  • Very beautiful!

What kind of pickup is that?

  • Thanks...it's not a pickup. It is a lavaliere microphone made by Shure. I made a little mini boom that clips on the soundhole. thanks again,

    Gary

  • @Grrrgallier I must say you have done a mighty fine job on it. And this is only a 12 year old speaking!

  • I love this. I recently downloaded some of your TAB from your website. I like the Arpeggios (is that right?)

I love the design of that dulcimer as well. It is beautiful.

  • Awesome, thanks for sharing it with us. Tish

  • What an inspiration. Thank you.
