Donkey Kong Country 2 end level gliches

Me playing Donkey Kong Country 2 on Super Nintendo Entertainment System.

In the video I show the normal look and then the glitch.

This is a glitch that I found many years ago while playing and now I have finally recorded it to show everyone. In the past I have only been able to show others live.

Normally Diddy's boom box is black and Dixie's Guitar is blue and white but somehow the boom box is gold and the guitar is red and yellow.

I'm not sure if this is separate coding or sprites in the game or not but I have never seen or heard anything like this before.

I have only been able to do it in Topsail Trouble, both kongs are needed and to use the snake via the warp barrel.

If anyone knows any more information please contact me.

UPDATE: I am able to do this any time without the snake. Seems its the way you jump from the rope at the end of the level.

you know I think I actually know how they do it, im not real positive about it but I think that if you keep your animal buddy alive and leave him somewhere throughout the level instead of walking him through the "No Animal Buddy past this point" sign then I think thats how their instruments change at the end of the level. Not really sure if it works, but I have read somewhere before that thats how it happens

Yes but I don't think it works on all levels with animal buddies.

Also if you do the level normally and leave the snake it will not work.

Check my description, I updated it a while ago stating it could be done without the snake at all.

That IS AWESOME! When I was a kid I always swore I saw that happen and I could never figure out how or why and I tried to show a a couple friends but of course I didn't realize I needed both kongs. There was another level I saw it, but I don't remember which.

I'm not sure if you need two Kongs, I never thought about that.

I might give it a try on the SNES again.

Funny i was just playing that game today and i saw that gold boom box so i looked it up and youtube see any any one els saw it. And i found your video to prove it.

you have any idea how to start the glitch ?

It's pretty much like how the video goes. I think there might be something to do with the animal buddy as there is a lava level you can do it too with Squiiter.

Others have made videos of it on YouTube. I've also been able to replicate it myself.

the color looks too good to be a glitch, but more of an easter egg..... but i like the gold boombox

@badooleoo hmm thats weird. But yeah I do remember it happening to me once before though in this same level, I just dont remember how it happened cuz it was so long ago.

one time i had diddy kong when i beat the first boss his boom box was gold my stupid brother was sleeping so he missed it
