I am curious what stories you are referring to? Tom has quite a mystic to him and really is a living legend. He has certainly not taken very good care of himself I hope that he is a good guy. You can never know and for some people fame really does not work for them (the attention good and bad). I think people get the idea if someone is not really warm or clearly greatful for there fame than they are ignorant or something like that.
