Thats exactly what im trying to get at. He could run inside. The Lions ran the run and shoot his first 5 years. They used singleback 3 wide 94-96 and then 97,98 with a fullback. A stat for everyone, Barrys first 5 seasons 11 runs of over 40+ yards and Barrys last 5 years 31 runs of over 40+ yards.

It sure was a great cut and against to great players. . To think that the two TD runs at the end were his last. When you compare this game/year to his early years, I would say he more top speed toward the end of his career, perhaps he worked on that after 1994 when he was run down a few times. I think it is clear from this video that Barry had several solid years left in him. It also shows when asked he can run between the tackles which the few haters said he couldnt.

@rocket26a Yeah I agree. I think Sanders retired a little too early. I think he culd have went as long as Emmitt Smith did. (in years as far as career length)

Why did the Lions have to be such a crappy team in 1998? They go from the playoffs to 5-and fucking-11 the next year. It still pisses me off. I bet if the Lions would've actually been good in '98, we could have had another 3-4 years of this. Instead, Barry quits, the Lions hire Millen and we have the most pitiful 10 seasons of football ever.

haha, i like how the announcers were classifying that GB holdin him to like 7 yards a carry was good. even though thats true. haha. i wish the NFL was a running game again.
