Nice elaborate knot. I would like to know the purpose of all those knots together. I think I could tie the same thing with a different knot and make it much simpler. All those knots must have a purpose, if they are there just to make it fancy then, it is not my kind of knot.

The trucker's hitch is probably one of the most useful rope devices that everyone should know. I use it all the time at work and in the outdoors, but this is not a version that I am familiar with. There are several other methods of tying this hitch that I would recommend learning over this one if you plan on using it on a regular basis.

A single 1/2 hitch around the bite will suffice to secure it. I use this knot on a regular basis.
