Nicest watch I've ever owned.

This is the Lächer Abacus watch in black.

I do not work for unusualwatches.com, but I was very impressed that I got this watch for £140 instead of the £180 found everywhere else, with free p+p

  • Thanks for making this video. I've wanted this watch for a long time, but have wanted to see it in person first, and this is the next best thing. It looks A LOT glossier than the shots, as you mention.

    1. Do you find that it looks plastic-y? I mean the main black face itself. After watching your review, I'm leaning more towards the steel one.

    2. Can that ball pop out and thus get lost?

    3. Does the ball move from its position without you shaking the watch, just when you are walking etc?

  • @hypersigil

Hey there! It doesn't feel plasticky, feels very sturdy.

The ball is contained securely inside, it won't come out even if you tried. (The track it is in is about 3/4 of a circle on its cross-section, not just a semi-circle)

The ball moves when you walk around, yeah, but you just have to hold it and it'll move back.

  • how do you tell the time on it? I know the ball moves but does it show the hours/minutes or both?

  • wow! awesome watch. but does the ball stand for minutes? hours? how do u tell the actual time?

  • is it noisy as the ball rolls around?

  • 1 / How can we expect one precision (with a little exercise) less than 5 minutes?

2 / The return of the ball is it fast enough on a daily use ?

  • thanks...i've just ordered one!
