This song just doesn't suit Chad & Jeremy. I've been a fan of the duo since 1963. Click onto songwriterswm and listen to "The Sands Of Summer" - I wrote that with Chad & Jeremy In mind. It would also suit David Essex. ( Has a Mike Batt feel to it)

Love this video, and the record. It really shows off their idiosyncratic humour. Great fun.

Poor Chad!

I never heard of this song before, and now I know why: it SUCKS! Chad and Jeremy should have stuck to the '60s folk-pop that made them famous. As for Lauren Hutton, I've always adored her. Even today, at 60-plus, for a skinny old broad, she still looks pretty good! Must be that makeup line she's been flogging.

is there such a story behind the making of that video that chad was jealous of jeremy's role? He got the best part esp kissing with lauren hutton while chad ended up kissing the doberman.

I don't remember this one! This was the beginning of music videos... Oh I remember.. I was raising my then 2 yr old daughter! No time for music or tv! :) Glad I am able to see it now! How charming! I wonder if Chad broke any bones from all the prat falls?
Not jealous so much as not being very fond of the song. Chad thought it was not the right song for a single (they both prefered "Zanzibar Sunset") and that the 'joke' of being down-and-out was a bit overdone. And who wouldn't be jealous of kissing Lauren Hutton!
