That's the usual story people so eagerly like to quote & believe:
Saint Soraya couldn't have children, SO the devilish Shah got divorced from her ("throwing her away", because he was soooo mean & such a tyrant, as we "all know"...)!
The real story is a bit different!
1st, the Shah only had three wives, Fawzia of Egypt, Soraya Esfandiary-Bakhtiari and Farah Diba, and NOT a "bunch of wives"! (sensual fantasy of the TV-ladies?)
2nd, it wasn't the Shah who divorced from his wife Soraya!
