The southern outskirts of the Afghan capital, Kabul. The major exit and entry routes to the city are all blocked to stop insurgents and drug smugglers. Beyond here, government rule ends. A handful of Afghan counter-narcotics police are trying to stem the flow of opium and heroin that last year accounted for 93% of the world's heroin production. But their efforts amount to little more than a speed bump on the heroin highway.

I would say that the war on opium is a matter of monopoly protection.

What a fraud information ! US- NATO did come to resume the opium production, because the Taliban did successfully ban opium ! Production fell down to about 8 % acc. to UN DC production statistics.

They want to destroy Europe by drugs: unodc. org/unodc/en/drug-trafficking/­index.html and even founded a drug distribution state run by the well known drug trafficers of the KLA.

Opium production is concentrated in a few southern areas, a few airplanes could burn down the fields in one single day !

Chemical Bill really has his head stuck up his arse he can see that what he has tried in Columbia didnt work it hasnt worked in Afghanistan as the production has gone up .90% of the world heroin is coming from there now and they are at war . The war on drugs isnt working when are the Goverments going to wake up????????????????????????????
