Our friends Rebbeca & Thomas Myers....so glad they're alright....sucks about the car but it can be fixed! not such a great job by the firefighter getting there one minute & 30 seconds after the car started burning....poor training / preparation if you ask me....

  • Locally there's a firecrew at the finish line and rear of the start line, there always seems to be confusion when something like this happens I don't know whether they are determining the cause of the fire eg, fuel, or electrical ? But the seconds nothings being done seem like minutes in these situations. Here It appeared that even the driver didn't activate the on board fire suppressors until his crew memMaybeber yelled out to do it then he had to go back to the car , that's really strange ???

  • hes like FUCK MY CAR!

  • @jasonbinger

They did a good job of running gateway into the ground also

  • Where do they find these useless fire crews?

Fat slow ass fools that take 5 minutes to decide to finish their donut or put out the fire!!

  • i think u need a new fire crew they should have ben there when they saw the first little flame out the hood scope

  • Great fire crew...did it burn all night????

  • I was there that night Memphis motorsports park is a joke . I remember back in 2005 after an oil down by a mustang at the nmca race they half ass cleaned the track and a guy from Alabama in a turbo dodge viper was killed after loseing it in the same spot where the spill was. I used to love this track but Dover motorsports has ran it into the ground. And it is now closed for good

  • Seen this sort of thing before at my home track. The main safety guys are always down finish line and pretty much rely on starter for any fire issues..You can notice that no one is wearing fire suits except for the driver who owns car..

126 secs is along time to watch your hard earned bucks go up in smoke..

Thank fully no one was hurt..

  • With the growth of ADRL, Im sure that they could afford to have an emergency response team on both ends of the track. This is not a shot at the ADRL because none of us think of this until something like that happens.

  • In these modern times of motorsport there is no excuse for such bad response to fires or accidents. Doesnt mater whether you're talking about Formula 1, Nascar or drag racing. There is no excuse. In cases like this i think tracks should have lawsuits bought against them. A privateer circuit racing team in Europe last year had half a million pounds worth of car wrecked because it took 3 minutes to get to it. The only thing they salvaged were the break discs. What if the driver was trapped?
