Anabolic Frolic @ Hullabaloo Funtopia 2 1999 Classic happy hardcore rave

Footage of Anabolic Frolic's set from the 2 year anniversary of Hullabaloo June 1999 featuring MC E-by-gum. This is a classic rave - An old gutted building filled with a sold-out crowd of 5000 dedicated ravers during the rave scene's peak, our very own "summer of love" 1999 as the scene only had grown and grown, but would soon fall in on itself.

Back then we didn't have a care and honestly thought we were going to change the world. It was a glorious time, breaking new ground with a new style of music and new kind of events, not trying to relive anything from the past, but just press forward. Massive shout out to those of you who can say "I was there!" and a shout out to all those that wish they could have been.

This clip is an excerpt from a complete Funtopia 2 documentary, the quality is from VHS so it's dark and grainy, but the energy and atmosphere on here is undeniable. If there's any interest we'll consider re-releasing our old docs on DVD.

I was at Big Top. I don't remember the glasses announcement, but that sounds hilarious. I remember being really disappointed about missing Funtopia (I mean, the name alone...).
