どの国の人が作曲しようが音楽は人類共通の言葉です。

I like both versions of the song.. japanese is more scenic, chinese is more romantic.
I also like the two random dancers... :)

When I hear this music and beautiful dancing, I feel there is a God.

what a pair of beautiful dancers! What a beautiful poem in Chinese!

This was my father's favorite song as I remembered it. He would sing this song in Japanese while holding my younger sister in his arms.....I was too young to know anything about the song while we lived in Taiwan. この曲は本とに昔の思いでを懐かしく思い出します!

let us just enjoy the beautiful song !!

I'm so tired of these political hacks - they completely deny and forget the soul of the Chinese civilization that also brought about a lot of innovations and good to the world, not to mention philosophy, art and poetry. The West took hundreds of yrs to get rid of slavery, still many inhumanity existing, eg. caste system. Give the Chinese time. I hope that China will one day become an inspiring civilization again, it is getting there, but they need to care more about culture, less about wealth.

Ok, the only thing I don't understand is the intention of the original song is to reflect on a famous Tang poem, a melancholic, evocative zen poem, so I assume the Japanese lyrics are based on that Chinese poem, but why does the Chinese version become a romantic love song??? I mean, why don't they go back to that original Tang poem? Sometimes, although there's the WWII bad blood, it seems as though the Japanese appreciate Chinese culture more than the Chinese themselves, very sad.
