1. Teach the concepts in the direction (help the kids see, hear, and experience the concept)
2. Tell the direction in the order you want them to complete it (First do this, then do that)
3. Give one short instruction at a time as it becomes relevant
4. Demonstrate and repeat what you want them to do
5. Visual schedule that shows pictures or items for each step
