Well, at this stage its probably not best to go for a full-on playboat because you will struggle running rivers and learning the white water skills. A possible alternative could be a cross over boat such as, Pyranha Recoil, Jackson Fun, Dagger Juice etc.. These will give you the confidence on rivers as well as some degree of play ability, then you can move onto a real playboat. This is what i did and its worked out well.
sorry seems like a place to ask, just started on white water (like back channels at hpp). Looking to get my own boat, i want to move on to play boating, but have no clue what to look at! Can any one help me?
Well you could try a river boat like the 'Pyranha Burn', or if you feel daring and you are definitely going to stick it then you could try a larger playboat like the 'Bliss-Stick Rad 195' but i don't recommend it. if you want something a little more fun and something with a bit less volume than the burn but you don't want to go as small as a playboat then you could get something like a 'Prynaha Stretch'. If you have not had much experience on rivers then I strongly recommend the 'Prynaha Burn'.
I have a wavesport EZG 42 and love it. I'll try to get some playboating vid's of me on youtube.
