People like you make us vegans look stupid. Eating meat and believing in some god there's no evidence for is irrational and illogical. To do one of these things and oppose the other is hypocritical.

DEAR YOUTUBE FRIENDS/DEAR VEGANSTARMAN: It is not religion alone:SOME ENTITY HAS MADE THE UNIVERSE AND ALL THINGS IN IT: GOD! OR SOME KIND OF ENERGY KNOWN BY ANY OTHER NAME.I AM AN ENGINEER I DO BELIEVE IN GOD AND JESUS CHRIST. I'M SURE HUMAN BEINGS ARE NOT CAPABLE OF DOING THINGS JUST TURN THEM INTO OTHER THINGS. PEOPLE DON'T HAVE TO KILL ANIMALS TO LIVE ON. I'LL THANK GOD EVERYDAY FOR ANIMALS.(PEOPLE PLEASE STOP KILLING ANIMALS!STOP EATING MEAT!STOP WEARING FUR/LEATHER!ThankyouAdemar)

Obviously you are not a golfer...

Cut it out with the religious crap. Killing animals and eating them is wrong and primitive. But so is religion.

I love the hunter's "Oh ho ho! Don't speak any English, huh? Heh hey hey!!" Total dickhead.

Dear YouTube friends:"WE ARE A VERY PRIMITIVE SPECIES."A Starman had to come to us and say that.Maybe that was what Jesus thought. REALLY FANTASTIC! Very touching and sad scene. Mr Jeff Bridges and Miss Karen Allen should have won the Academy Award. Animals are God's creatures.Nobody has the right to kill them. HUNTERS AND MEAT EATERS ARE SINNERS AND CRIMINALS. ONE DAY THEY WILL PAY FOR KILLING ANIMALS. PLEASE PEOPLE STOP KILLING ANIMALS! STOP EATING MEAT!STOP WEARING FUR/LEATHER!ThankyouAdemar

I forgot how much I like Karen Allen. She's in three of my favorite movies.

@Kishmakay Star Wars isn't science fiction, it's fantasy. Very few people make that distinction. Good science fiction proposes scientific possibilities and explores the human implications; fantasies explore pre-existing human concepts. They are both worth examining, but the differences are very important.

@TheGoldcountry Well... I don't even consider Star Wars to be fine science fiction. I consider Blade Runner to be fine science fiction. Don't get me wrong, I love Star Wars and think it's great entertainment. Specially Episode V. But, to my taste, the series lack the same quality of works such as 2001 and Blade Runner.

@Kishmakay If you mean science fiction devoted to the exploration of what people can do, and become, I agree. Real science fiction tries to imagine what the human race can and will do with new tools put at their disposal. Too many people think it's just "laser beams and aliens". Partly due to "Star Wars" but a lot of people don't understand the purpose of that movie, either.
Sublime.
This movie is not only Carpenter's best effort ever hands down, it's one of the best contributions to fine science fiction.

I remember watching "Starman" as a kid and being so moved by the infamous deer scene & the soundtrack to this movie. Still one of my faves to this day. Thanks for posting!
