What's the difference funtionality wise between using a folder as opposed to a bus that you send all drums to? Does a folder allow processing of all of the tracks?

Wow, this not only answers my questions about drum editing in Cubase 6 but also gives me some new ideas. Thanks very much!

Excellent video. Clear and concise without a lot of extraneous information. Perfect for intermediate Cubase users like myself. Thanks

@sosorawthemicking You know that barely any producers use wobbles in Dubstep nowadays? Anyways, you dont have to use Cubase at all, i can produce some pretty nice wobbles and growls with NI Massive

@zipproductionz the plugins from cubase itself are basic with wobbles ! so in a way you create them with cubase because the plugins are from steinberg cubase 6,i just use external vsti,s for wobbles ,plus you can take a bass from cubase and use a midi effect to make a wobble so again you create wobble with cubase :)

@sosorawthemicking You dont create the wobbles with Cubase, you make them with plugins-.-

@zipproductionz nah ,cubase makes it very hard to create dubstep wobble basses !
The folder is an organizational tool for the project window and allows for group editing for quantizing drums etc and has no bearing on the audio processing in the mixer which is what a group is for.

You do not need to use triggers. The mics will do all that you need.

You will need a multichannel audio interface like the Steinberg MR816X/CSX that has 8 mic pres on it. Set up the appropriate number of channels in Cubase and hit record.
