Since its up to God all He asks of us is to proclaim it without fear. Love the lost and just shamelessly promote the gospel. Dont worry about being politically correct. Just tell it how it is.
The gospel changed cultures and people to fit the truth and righteousness. I dont see it as we should try to impress or fit a culture and that will make them open to the gospel. Also in reformed theology as mark driscoll is it understands that God grabs and chooses who he desires, the elect into salvation.
I think you can use art, music, and culture and connect with people but its still promoting the same gospel as Paul without trying to impress people. Just proclaim it and its up to God.
I learned all about contextualization at biola university. I majored in Intercultural Studies. In my opinion the proper idea of contextualization actually does mean to form the gospel to fit into a culture to where it is different to each culture. I never heard it the way you said it. What I know is the bible, the gospel is transcendent above all cultures. It is supracultural. We must present God's word without worrying about pagmatism because it is sharper than any 2 edged sword.
