@jordaneworley1 Full tang means for the blade to go all the way through the hilt, rather than only being attached at the top of the hilt/handle.

Not being full tang would mean that...if you were to swing and hit something a few times, it is very likely that the blade would fall off. And it would be unbalanced. Having the blade extend all the way down through and "inside" the handle makes it so this doesn't happen. If you've ever looked at a kitchen knife's shape and make...it's kinda like that.

This is a beautiful sword, however, I HATE the fact that it's a 440 stainless steel blade and it is definitely not full tang. I would love to see a high quality Rukia Kuchiki katana with a high carbon steel blade and real ray skin on the hilt.
