I JUST WANT TO KNOW ONE THING! IS THAT WHY THEY DON'T SELL THIS CARS(SKODA) HERE IN UNITED STATES??? I love this car, it reminds me of '02-2005 VW Passat in a way because of similar design. I think this car would make a great market, its weird how it still havent gotten to U.S. same to Opel. They should definatly sell Skoda's here reither than stupid Korean peace of **** Deawoo which people almost never buy because its cheap and cheap is a garbage car!

It's no fortune to look like the old VW Passat. The Skoda Octavia is built on the VW Golf platform and belongs to the VW group. But you are right, if I can chose between the Passat or Octavia, I would take once more the Octavia. The luggage trunk is easier to load.
Therefore I think the VW group don't want to disturb their own market in the US to sell only VW cars.
That they are selling Daewoo in the US I think it's the problem that the brand is in Chevrolet hands, so they try to sell them too.

Both are from the same Band "Frameless". I think that this version here was a little bit updated only for the commercial of Skoda. Therefore I think they used the original for the Skoda Octavia Combi.
