Woooooooow soo how and what can i say....I really hate to say i told you soo...I told you guys that DUVALL WAS AMAZING! This song is totally kickass and amazing...14 years guys...last song recorded was Died...This album is gonna kick ass...To all my AIC of Fades and Layne-gels and Layne-iacs this ones for you!

I just think they should have changed the name of the band. It isn't 'Alice In Chains' anymore. Just like 'Led Zeppelin' wouldn't be the same without Robert Plant. I appreciate and like the music they sing, I just don't think they are 'Alice In Chains'...it is more like 'Alice In Chains minus Layne plus this new guy equals trying to be Alice In Chains'. They just need a new name.

Its just i hear that soooo much its just old now...i even think people that used to say that don't even say it nomore...I think everyone now came to the agreement that AIC is AIC with DUVALL live with it you can't change nothing...not even leaving an opinion in an AIC video...just think about it...i know its your opinion and all not trynna be a dick but theyre successful and still AWESOME! I think they should still be AIC Layne died not AIC!

I'm glad to see Alice In Chains back. I have always loved this band and am glad to see that they still have the same sound. May Layne Staley RIP!

You do realize there's like 7 billion people in the world...I highly doubt this Duvall character is the closest thing to Layne out there. He was Jerry's bud, that's why he's now the singer for AIC.

Or that these people make music and couldn't care less about so-called fans wanting Layne to miraculously resurrect? Or that AIC never wanted to sound like something specific out there but just like they normally sound like? You do realize the band doesn't need your benediction to decide who will front?

Following your logic, if Layne had left AIC for another band, he would have had to change his name, too? Three quarters of the band are still there, man, they have every right to use the name. Pink Floyd remained Pink Floyd after Waters left, their sound changed dramatically, yet nobody cried foul. Plus, Layne wouldn't have had it any other way.

That's the thing: you could hear Jerry's voice all over back in the old days, too. You just mistook it for Layne's. Nobody was aware how present Jerry's voice was in old AIC. What most of us liked about it was BOTH guys singing together, we just didn't realize it back then. Listening to Degradation Trip, I found myself checking whether it came out pre- or post-Layne. I could have sworn Layne sang on it.

Nobody will ever fit AIC like Layne did, but does that mean the surviving members should all just die already? Do you have a clue how hard it is to revive a band after something as bad as an awesome frontman and a dear friend dying a miserable death? These are pro musicians, that's their job, that's what they live for, and please don't give me the name-changing excuse, because if it weren't for them, Layne wouldn't have been Layne either.

@Aliceinchainhead Bro i don't know if you're the one who wrote if Layne was singing this song it'd be awesome. I 100% agree soon as i heard this song that's exactly what i thought. Layne woulda ripped this song up and the slower song they released about 6 months ago forget the name. I don't pay as much attetion to them without the best singer ever. Duval doesn't fit AIC at all period.

it's all pretty crap...they are trying too hard it just doesn't work anymore. The old passion is gone. This stuff is similar to old AIC But it just doesn't have the feel

No one will ever top layne,but they couldn't have picked a better singer to take his place.Layne would have wanted them to keep the name and keep on going,just like Ac/dc,Lynyrd Skynyrd,Drowning pool Ect...They carried on the legacy
