i would say differently, 3G is fucking slow. have you use 2G iphone yet? if 4G were to come out 3G is gonna be like the 2G today. check att website to see if they got refurbish 3gs. it's not worth it to pay regular price. beside you can do early contract. i think probably 16 or 18 months in your current to qualify.

You won't be able to change the speed or the camera dude, that's hardware. Not software.

hahaha i waiting 2 looong years for apple to release a much better phone b'cos i knew from the reviews that apple can do better. now.. im a completely new customer to 02.

what i did was well i only have 5 months left on my 3G contract so i just started another contract another contract for £45 a month on top of my current £45 so i will be paying £90 a month which isnt tooo bad in the long run as O2 seem to be sticking to there guns with this one not offering anything but if they do decide to change there current policy then i have 14 days to cancel the contract that i have just started so am taking a risk but i want the 3Gs when it comes out its much faster
i am thinking about getting a 3gs but i am told not to and buy the 3g because its cheaper and apparently you can install all the 3gs software inc the speed and camera and jailbreak it. Also will there be a new iPhone within the next year? because i was wondering if there's any point of buying a 3g s if there's gonna be a new 1. (4g)?

Yeah like @DollarBillUK said, you can't change the speed or camera from jailbreaking, the camera is hardware. If you mean getting the video camera function then yes you can, but I wouldn't recommend it.
And yes knowing Apple there should be a new iPhone next year

if i have a NOKIA and pay 50 pound a month and my contract is ending in 3 months do i still get that 3 month early upgrade?

Yeah you don't have to own an iPhone to get an early upgrade. As long as you spend over £50 a month and you've allowed O2 to send you marketing you should be on the gold priority list, best to phone customer services to check though

i have a 2g handset and didnt upgrade so their policy doesnt seem to totally apply to me

Yeah these policies are really aimed at 3G customers, if you still have your 2G iPhone your contract should have finished by now so you should be able to upgrade
