This is a sequence of Black and White images taken with the 70mm Hasselblad still camera that was aboard the Apollo 11 Command Module as it orbited the moon. Michael Collins was by himself at this time. There is a string of frames from magazine P that I ran together into to make this animation.

This is a rather jumpy sequence. I chose not to "Smooth" the rendering to honor the fact that this was shot with a hand held, single image camera, not a ship-mounted video cam. I doubt that , when he shot this, Michael Collings had no intention of making a movie, they were just going for a single shot. there are a number of sequences that can be put together of the moon passing below, but they can be rather hard to follow.
