Actually I found some photo of Neil and Alan together and Alan Moore doesn't seem to be all that taller than him.

@MorroccoSurrogate That's a good question, I'm guessing "scary trousers"
is British slang for someone who can scare the crap of you,
unless he was joking about Neil's usual black clothing and his sunglasses.
just guessing here.

I think it's probably just the lighting. He doesn't look red on the big screen there.
