This is video of the implosion of Texas Stadium. This was taken from the 7th floor of the office building where I work. They started with fireworks, which go on for several minutes then nothing. Then apparently, they shoot off a few more fireworks from the side as a "countdown". Then the stadium comes tumbling down from one side to the other. I wonder what it was like from the viewing area by the Red Lot at the stadium, where people paid $25 per car to see this. And they probably got covered in dust in the aftermath of the implosion. Hmm, $25 to get covered in dust. I got to do this for free!! LOL
There is plenty of commentary in the background, as there were roughly 10 people where I was. At one point, we felt the building shake a little. We all had a good time seeing this. Was worth getting up at 5am.
The end of the clip was actually when the battery died in my digital camera, so I was VERY lucky to get the implosion.
