@hoplite669 Sorry to disappoint you, but I am not a US citizen either. I'm Dutch. But I'll give your question a shot.

There is so much dissatisfaction with Obama (primarily due to negative propaganda, but he's made a few big mistakes during his presidency as well, although that's not something for conservatives to complain about, mostly leftwingers) that many people will take anyone they think is capable of beating him.

Still Obama's probably better president than any of the current candidates

@shittyfagg: well, I am not an American and i really wonder (honest question to you): does anyone really like Newt Gingrich? I mean he's such a slimy guy with such an arrogant disposition. I thought Americans went for likeable politicians with good looks like Kennedy or Clilnton or.. yeah even Bush. I mean i think he was a horrible President, but at least he seemed like a nice guy personally. Can you - as a U.S. citizem - explain this to me?
