@Tizzyization the younger man (Ralph) was always in love with his servant Ted (the older man.) The series just showed clips of their time together. The humour comes from the bitter sweet awkwardness of Ralphs love.

How can one explain this run of sketches to the casual observer? Moreover to someone not in tune with British humour. Wonderful stuff.

i loved the fast show, but the first time I saw this I couldn't help but cry a little at the end...even now got tears in my eyes.
