Experience

Experience or xp is earned from participating in the site, or contributing content.

GTD

Gametrailers Dollars, or GTD, are our reward for your participation in the site, and the quality of the content you produce.

For instance, when people rate your blogs or usermovies positively, you will get GTD based on those ratings and that users rating power.

Can I send GTD to other members?

No.

Thumb Ratings On each piece of your content, other users can either give it a thumbs up, or a thumbs down.


Thumb Power = User's Level / 2


For example: If a Level 30 user gives you a thumbs up on your comment, you will get +15 on its rating. If he rated you down, you would get -15 on your rating.

Earnings ChartWatching Movies:

12xp - $1.00 GTD
Writing Comments: 2xp - $0.20 GTD
Writing Blogs: 50xp - $5.00 GTD
Posting in the Forums: 3xp - $0.25 GTD
Thumb Ratings: 1xp - $0.00 GTD
Views Your Movies Get: 0xp - $0.02 per view
User Referrals: 0xp - $500 GTD once that user reaches Level 5

Are there any restrictions on earning GTD?

You can only get credit for watching 50 movies and user movies, combined, every day. You'll also only get credit for one every minute.

In addition, you can only receive credit for a certain number of views on your user movies per IP address per day. So after a certain point, watching the same movie over and over again ceases to give the author GTD.

How do I refer a user?

Simply point them to the register page, and tell them to put your username down as the referrer. Or check out the Refer a Friend tab in your CPanel.
