i'm a boarder, and i do agree that LOTS of snowboarders are posers and try to be cool, but they hit a 5 foot jump and land on their back and cry. but if you go to the mountain every day out of the season, you get to know who the REAL rippers are. skiiers tend to be more little kids and old people, but i don't deny at ALL that there are some that totally kill it, all my friends ski and they are crazy. i say just whatever you like, do it, and i just happen to like snowboarding.

ok i say so what. no point in rivalry's. i mean so what i dont like skiing that dont mean im better than skiers and same with skiers. i love to board and if others dont so what? its just for the fun in it. not who can rip on a person more than another.... i think that these rivalrys are just dumb -_- just do what yo love and dont diss others for what they love to do.

P.S it was one of my first times skiing, i didn't know, my friend just told me there was a boarder behind me :D

@KashMuny420 YES! Weve got a major problem with that at my hill, noobs like hittin the mogul run and tearing it to shit, got so bad that me and three other upper advanced/expert skiers took a day just to set bumps, turned out pretty well till it snowed again and the gapers f'ed it up again

I both Board and Ski in the Swiss Alps - Many reasons for rivalry are excuses, the source is that both are different - Example an expert skier seeing a beginner skier will first see themselves at an earlier age - However a beginner snowboarder is seen as different and hence rivalry - The disturbance of snow is a bigger issue more to do with ecology of the slope after the spring melt - the daily damage is only damage if left overnight to freeze, but are resolved by snowploughs and snow cannons

i'm a skier and 16 years old.....

i respect snowboarders even more then I do skiers cuz they seem more chill'ax and more down with doing anything crazy while skiers.....DO TEND to be in the older generations now and snowboarders are taking over

but either way, it's about your personal preference and what you enjoy to do more on the slopes.... :)

alright here it is straight, im a boarder, im not saying im any better than skiers at all, this rivalry is stupid, and also i understand that snowboarders do sit in the middle of the mountain, i understand that it is annoying because it even annoys me too! but u guys do have to realize skiers dont always sit in middle of trails but there are skiers that i call turtle skiers. they pizza and make very wide turns all the way down even on blakcs and this annoys me because i sometimes get stuck
