What about the toxicity (health concerns) of Amanita Muscaria? You made no mention of that, which I think I can speak for many that it is what is stopping most interested people from trying this species. In comparison, Psilocybin/Psilocin is considered non-toxic (assuming any sort of realistic dose of course).

I found some A. muscaria variety formosa, but they're small. One is 3 inches across, the other two are 2" across. Would they still make me trip? I found them on July !5th, and I read that the time you find them affects the trip and the chemical content. Any Advice? Should I chuck those, and just go back to where I found them in a few days to pick bigger ones? It's a pretty far drive, so I don't want to waste the gas money unless I have to.

What you describe as people worshipping the mushroom or the shaman who ingests it, would be called "idolatry" by monotheistic religions.
