Got 1986 E23 that center chrome has fallen out & so it's missing.

I Have e23 parts if anyone needs! lamps.shock absorbers (new), wheel bows (new).speed indicator (79' 745) etc etc

Everyone who have been onboard a e23-745i 3,5, and felt the power from this fantastic engine, will NEVER forget.. it is not a 250 km/h car, no - but this is solely due, that it moves allmost as much air as an 40 ton Peterbilt... :-) - let me hear if you find a car which goes faster from 80 to 160 km/h...
Great car with great spirit and personality - maybe the last real BMW, before they went from shark-style to underhung-jaw style..

@AetiusPraetorian early 745's had a 3.2 litre turbo and 3-speed auto, later models had a 3.4 litre turbo and 4-speed auto.

Thats great, thats very fast for a car of its age, well plus the mod, Whats that "bing" sound that it makes? Sounds like a seatbelt sign on a plane XD. I have a 1989 735i.

The bing sound is from the OBC :) I can program it to bing at any speed I want.. Since the speed limit in Norway is 80km/h and I loose my license at 116 km/h I thought that 140 km/h was a nice place to put the warning "bing" :P

That was slow... My dads 93-540ia do 0-240 in 22 seconds and hes car is all original.Shame on you!!

Post a video then, because I also have an E34 540ia and it certainly doesn't do 0-240 in 22s.

Very nice run, Kris. My 745i has no smog equipment and it makes a huge difference! Yours sounds nice. Glad the cruise control works!
