Q.
What do you say about, those who say, that it is upon the Scholar to learn the Methodology of the Pious Predecessors, without paying attention to the deviated sects and and those with deviated Methodologies?

A.
Is this not what Umar (ibn Khattaab) (May Allah be pleased with him) said : "Islam will erode piece by piece"
And the answer is : This statement is not correct. It is not correct and a fault.
Because refutations of those that contradict the Islam, is a refutation on those that deviate from the Usool of the relgion.
Because Allah was the First en Greatest who, refuted those who contradicted the Prophet (May peace and blessings be upon him). And it was He who, fought them with His Words, Jalla wa 3la. Refuting those that deviate from the Truth, is of the best ways to come closer to Allah. Shaykhul-Islaam (Ibn Taymiyyah) said: It is of the greatest forms of Jihaad. And this is correct. And it could be that it is greater, then doing Jihad against the enemies of outside. Because fighting the enemies that are inside is more important, then fighting the enemies that are on the outside (of islam). Because the enemies that is are outside, there enmetiy is known and clear. And as for the enemy that is inside, his enmity is not known. And of the greatest forms of enmity is, that there are amongst the muslims, someone that calls them to something other then the Methodology of the Salaf. Like the Innovations and Shirk and deviated Methodologies, like the Rafidah, Khawaarij and those similar to them. As for this, no doubt refuting them is from the greatest forms of getting closer to Allah. Prevaricators, Sufies, and deviated sects and those similar to them. Refuting all these kinds of people is of the greatest forms of getting closer to Allah. And of the best forms of obedience to Allah. And it is a form of Jihad, that will always be done. Allah said: So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them herewith with a great endeavour. 25:52. Fighting them with the Quran and Knowledge is of the greatest forms of Jihad. As for leaving them and be silenced about them (innovoters). When will the Truth be known (then) ? If a Scholar is silent about clarifying the deviation of the deviated, how will the Truth be know ?
