A relaxing farm life sounds nice, but it's hard work too! Let's find out how great the life of a farmer is in Family Farm!

Game title: Family Farm
Developer: Hamerware (http://www.hammerware.cz)
Publisher: Iceberg Interactive (http://www.iceberg-interactive.com)
Platform: Windows, Linux and MacOS
Release date: 27 May 2011

If you'd like to give this game a try yourself, you can get the demo on the official website at: http://www.familyfarmgame.com/en/family-farm-game
You'll also be able to buy the digital version of the game there.
There is also a retail copy of this game available, which you can order from the Iceberg Interactive webshop at: http://www.iceberg-shop.com/family-farm.html

As of 2 June 2011, the 'custom story' mode has been added to the game via an update. This update also adds some AI to the workers, so that they will eat on their own with a meal nearby, which makes the game a lot less tedious! Unfortunately I had recorded this review before then, so some of my negative comments no longer hold true. Props to Hammerware for addressing issues and giving great support post launch!

  • Great video! This is an awesome game, however for anyone looking to purchase it, be aware that you are best to do so from the Hammerware home site. DO NOT PURCHASE from Direct 2 Drive website. I made that mistake, the game downloaded and installed and now won't open, I get an immediate error message stating that the game crashed. Notifying the D2D so called support people is a waste of time since they are obviously only interested in taking your money and too bad if it doesnt work.

  • @wake1336 Thanks a lot for watching, I'm really glad to hear you enjoy them, keeps one going you know ;)

  • @HalfBlindGamer True, true. Btw good job with all of the work you've done with all of your videos, I really enjoy them :)

  • Like them cows. But when I look outside I am more or less in between farmers so I guess I won't be playing this. Still a great review.

  • @lukemorse1 Thanks Luke. Yeah it does look alright and it's really low end stuff, it can run on almost anything out now, so that's nice. See how much effort that put into the game and wanting to make it even better, I'm pretty sure they will work on those complaints too. For a casual game I really admire the work they put into the game post launch.

  • @Bonemiath Thanks man and yeah, there's plenty of great games to play out there, no need to resort to the casual scene for now :) July looks a bit grim though...
