Analord vs. the Devil (Radiomen Roar DLR mash/ deconstruct 1)

Video mashing Double Indemnity and Panama for the track "Analord vs. the Devil," a mashup/deconstruction by Radiomen Roar.

The mash is made of fragments from an Aphex Twin track called VBS.Redlof. B from the vinyl-only Analord series, and an isolated recording of David Lee Roth's vocal and siren whistle track from the song Running With The Devil with some notes altered. To this, improvised guitar solos, spoken phrases, brushes, drums & cymbals, hand-drummed cookie tin, orutu, siren whistle, throat singing, octaver guitar, and snare stand flute were added.

I'll answer in order. Not ashamed. Love the Aphex track. Have never liked that Van Halen song. But, both started playing in my head like you hear here. Had no control over it. Yes, my plum, that is how you divide a rhumba, and no, there is no use of sequencing on this. Deliberately placed the singing just behind the beat to accentuate it's Al Jolsen-ness. I detest the sound of things that are spot on and sound like a machine did them. And finally, how could it be serious? Loved ur comments.Thx.

This isn't good at all. It the lyrics aren't syncing with the music at all.

It's a rhumba, bra. All the lines are sitting in different parts of the bar than in the original. "I live my life" used to come in on the 'and' of 1. Now it comes in on 1. "I-live-my"...3-3-2 rhumba division. Check out the other mash/remix (You Really Got Me Runnin' With Love.) It uses more of the original rhythms.
