My first time putting my new tenor recorder to use. Using a boss loop pedal, i put together an original jam. Comments and ratings (and subscription) are welcome, and remember to check out all my other videos with all my other instruments at my channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/bbrizzy89 . Enjoy!

  • Very very cool. I would like to get a looper pedal and start experimenting with it. I have probably a dumb question, but if you are using a looper pedal for voice or recorder, what do you hook it up to for the sound come out? Would I need to buy a PA system or can I use my guitar amp? Can I use a mic hooked up to my laptop?

  • @klsike Well PA system might give you the nicest sound... i'm actually using an acoustic amp here.. like the kind you buy for an acoustic-electric guitar. Normal guitar amp works it's just a matter of how much you care about distortion and that sort of thing. There are ways to do it through your laptop... however some programs or ways of doing it--in my experience-- might give you a little delay.

  • Incrediblly tasteful. About how much does the Boss Loopstation you used cost?

  • @speakwhnspkn2 Thanks- i think the one i got was about 180 or so. The two-pedal one is a little more but is probably easier to use so i suggest considering that one too.

  • The tenor sounded amazing with the acoustic effects, but I really dislike beatboxing mixed with wind instruments.

  • @SoldatSolutrea Cool- I could see that. I guess in this case, I was worried all of the tenor loops would get muddy, so I thought beat boxing would be a good beat holder. I appreciate the feedback!

  • Sweet jam. Nice to see a video with actual recorder playing.

  • ;this is gooooood...im a dummi when it comes to the electrical music stuff (whats a loop, anyway?), but i got 2 comments to u, if u will...number 1, the 2nd tenor in the background, although sounds great, but is not clear..a bit 'blourry'...number 2 ur tenor is kindo squeaky..other than that-its absoluetly beautiful, and i happened to love the beatboxing..very talented..

  • I personally love the idea of beatboxing behind the wood instruments - or any instrument for that matter. What i would have done was part way through make the beat a little beefier by adding a solid kick drum sound. And if your loopstation has an undo function you could thicken up the beat and then drop the extra thickness once the intensity is supposed to die down. Either way awesome job !

  • wonderful *****

  • That was so good!

  • @bbrizzy89 I think that this is brilliant, and I wouldn't change a thing. (except make it longer.) and as for the beat boxing holding the beat, It definitely works and only enhances the awesomeness of this song.
