I had not made a movie since 1981. I got talked into going on Facebook and within like, 48 hours a bunch of my friends from way back had come to my page and were asking if I was still making movies. I said "I'm 50 years old so NO I'm not." They kept at me and actually talked me into making a new movie.

We decided to make a sequel to an 8mm movie we'd done in 1976 when I was 17 years old called: Attack Of The Werewolf" (which is about a 1950's style Werewolf), because I never liked the way that movie ends.

I was pretty worried about doing it because I had not made a movie in so long and didn't know if we could still do it but we got a bunch of our friends together and made this movie.

We kept it pretty simple, almost no camera moves at all. I just wanted to get it made just to see if we could do it again.

Making this movie ended up being so much fun that now we're continuing making more movies based on these charactors.

The next in the series was done the following year called: The Angus Scrimm Chronicles: Vampires.

...And yes we named our hero Angus Scrimm as an homage to the Phantasm movies which we are huge fans of.

  • Thank you. Yeah the halloween mask was disappointing for us to use but I had done away with all my make up stuff years ago. For the new movie we're working on now, I'm back to sculpting new monster masks and make up stuff so hopefully we'll improve as we go along.

Thanks again for the kind words :)

  • I'm glad your friends talked you into making more movies. I think these are great! And I like all your references to your original home movies.

You know, this is actually as good as, if not better in some areas, as any of those monster movies you can watch on Sci-Fi channel.

Yeah the effects are a little low budget, like the stock werewolf mask, but it was still interesting. I wasn't planning on watching it all in one setting, but I ended up watching it all anyway. Now on to the vamp one! :)
