Left is a new 4300K bulb, right a year old 6000K bulb.

Major difference in light output!

  • 35w (both of them)

  • Did you use projectors for your HID?

  • Yes, the Alfa 146 has projector type headlights for the normal lowbeam/driving lights.

  • @bradrsavidge That how many manufacturers make there beams. Not everyone makes it straight across.

  • @johnlovesmoney 5000 also

  • @RandyMedion Yes indeed,...but later in the afternoon it goes up to 6000K

With overcast you have around 7/8000K.

  • @RandyMedion 5730K...:)

  • you sead that the 6000k is a yer old

its a knowen face that hids dim slowly over time and eventually dont stay lit

i have 4300k hids in my car (they came stock) they produce better light then 6000k

ther great with projectors (im assuming your car has them by the looks of it)

  • sunlight is 5420K

  • the beam pattern is horrible. good video though

  • lower the k, more visual and penatration, higher the k, less light and more color
