Christopher Meloni Joins 'Man of Steel' Cast

Casting Couch news from Man of Steel coming up on Clevver Movies!

Whats up guys, Im Tatiana Diana with CLevver Movies and Ive got the latest on Man of Steel.

We have learned that Christopher Meloni is currently in negotioations to play a pretty major role in Man Of Steel, the Superman reboot. No word yet on exactly WHAT role Meloni will fill just yet, but there was recently speculation that he would play Lex Luther, and now some report he will be playing a military general.

When asked about his mystery role, Meloni responded, "I cant tell you, or Id have to kill you."

One thing we do know is, regardless of the role he takes, he will be joining Henry Cavill who will play superman and Amy Adams who will play Lois Lane. Other cast mates include Russel Crowe, Julia Ormond, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane.

Man of Steel is directed by Zach Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan and will hit the silver screen in 2012.

@boredpersonthingy, CGI is cheaper, what's wrong with CGI? Zack Snyder is one of the best when it comes it implementing CGI and Christopher Nolan and WB got WETA digital to work the CGI. You're worrying over nothing at all, most movies use CGI and CGI suits.

@boredpersonthingy, They need CGI because it's an armored suit. How do you expect a normal human being to move in it and perform action sequences? Think of it like RDJ's Iron Man, it's CGI too.

@boredpersonthingy, No, Zod has two different suits. One is CGI and the other is similar to Superman's suit.

@boredpersonthingy, The CGI suit you saw was Zod's Kryptonian armor, it's not his true costume. It's the suit that Zod wore in For Tomorrow, Zod will be in a regular Kryptonian suit for the majority of the movie.

@Chimera1591, The armor will be a CGI suit because the suit from For Tomorrow is too big and Michael Shannon (Zod) won't be able to movie a muscle if it was a practical suit.

@boredpersonthingy, Henry's accent will be fine, don't worry about that. He's done an American accent before and it helps because his English accent isn't that strong. As for Zod, he won't be CGIed. Zod has two suits in Man of Steel. One will be similar to Superman's costume as it seems like they're trying to say that Superman's suit is a kryptonian suit that Jor-El gave to him. The other suit of Zod is a battle armor, my guess is the armor from Superman: For Tomorrow.
