omg people if you've noticed... this style is called contemporary... to most smart people, it is actually considered appealing... it is a very modern, chic, and expensive style, and it's the latest architectural trend... cough... cough...

not sure about some of the form and if there are reasons behind this although the open area when you first fly through the entry has some nice form ;)

I try to have an idea that I'm exploring in my work, and in this case it was a continuous roof that connects a singular indoor / outdoor space. This is a 'reason' in itself, but the roof also offers varying degrees of shelter, shade, and privacy according to program it is related to.

Also, the design has evolved. Search for Oakland House Roof to see more video of the concept.

this house isn't the most beautiful one but if my budget is not enough, i would probably choose this type of design

Good. I think work that challenges conventional notions of 'beauty' is successful. Look at Rem Koolhaas (not that I would compare myself). Also, the house is designed to be affordable, so it should work for you on that level. (It is not apparent in this animation, but it is clear in the construction documents and pro-forma.)

It's a good thing you won't be living there.
