Steven Wilson plays much more complex music than the Beatles, they invented modern pop and pop rock amongst other things, none of which influenced SW in any way. They were good, but SW is beyond them now.

@Battyeboy It might not sound major, but it is. Voicing the third in the bass, and doubling with a third on top. It's just an inverted major triad. First inversion to be specific. Where did you study music? Maybe Steven Wilson knows what he is talking about after?
