My Alabama Log Cabin 1979-80

This is the log cabin that I built between Calera and Montevallo Alabama and only 4 miles from the geographical center of the state. It was orignally a rock house built by the C.C.C. during the Great Depression but only a crumbling foundation and a solid chimney were left. It was my home for two years and was featured in Backhome Magazine.
